The map of Poland-Lithuania, also known as the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, was a political union between the Kingdom of Poland and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania that lasted from 1569 to 1795. The map depicted the territories controlled by the Commonwealth, which included modern-day Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Belarus, Ukraine, and parts of Russia, Moldova, and Romania. At its height, the Commonwealth was one of the largest and most populous states in Europe, with a strong parliamentary system and cultural diversity. However, it eventually declined due to conflicts with neighboring powers, internal disputes, and the partitions of Poland-Lithuania by Russia, Prussia, and Austria in the late 18th century. Today, the legacy of the Commonwealth can be seen in the shared history, traditions, and language of the Poles and Lithuanians.
